QuarkXPress is a tool that helps us express ourselves through the computer medium. Layout publishing, word processing, and drawing have always been an extension of our hands. Instead of buying pencils, rulers, erasers, and paper, or finding pictures to create professional documents, the computer helps our hands to become digitized so that our minds can shape the way we compose. “Innovations come from outside the city wall” [Kishida, 2001] and likewise computers help us get past physical restrictions to allow our psyche to expand beyond its boundaries.
